Line Dance Classes

Beginner Classes:  We are offering twice weekly Beginner Classes from 6:00pm to 7:15pm on Tuesday night and Wednesday night.  Beginner ORIENTATION for brand new beginners on TUESDAYS at 5:30pm!  This is very helpful if you are just starting out.  Please call first if you are coming for the first time.

 

Improver Classes:  On Tuesday at 7:15pm is an "Improver" level class emphasizing mainstream music and providing slightly more challenge than beginner classes. 

 

Intermediate/Advanced Classes: On Wednesday beginning at 7:15pm we will offer new and more challenging dances concentrating more on non-Country and alternative music.

 

We will do a lot of dances seen at line dance workshops as well as the dances done at some of the local clubs. 

    

We will invite local or visiting instructors and choreographers to guest teach or showcase dances on an occasional basis. 

 

Visitors are always welcome!  We would love to have you and your friends join us!

"BEGINNERS"

Classes are held on Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 6:00pm to 7:15pm for those who would like to learn to line dance but have been afraid to give it a try!  This program will include basics and step combinations and add other dances including original choreography to help practice these concepts.

All types of music will be featured to demonstrate that line dancing can be enjoyed by all ages, all cultures and all tastes.  There are literally tens of thousands of line dances that can be adapted to any style of music that suits your taste. 

 

Line Dancing is great aerobic exercise and is much more fun than sweating at the gym!!

"IMPROVERS"

The Improver class is the next step forward for Beginners who are ready for more challenging dances.  Additional step combinations and styling techniques will be added to enhance the dance experience.  A variety of style and music genres will be introduced including, 50's, Rock & Roll and other current mainstream and popular music.

"INTERMEDIATE - ADVANCED"

Emphasis on NON-Country music

This class targets the Intermediate to Advanced dancer.  The music selected will emphasize primarily POP, R&B, Latin, Irish and other alternative styles, but may occasionally include Country music as well. 

 

We will be covering all types of dance styles including Cha-Cha, Night Club Two Step, Waltz, Rumba, Salsa, Hustle and Hip Hop.  This focus of this class will be dances done at various U.S. and International Dance Events.  Our teaching agenda will feature line dances written by well known line dance choreographers and performers from around the world.

SPECIAL NOTE:  Please, no outside Food or Beverages are permitted. 

The AMF Lanes has a snack bar and serves food such as Pizza, Wings, Nachos and other snack foods.  They also have beer, wine, liquor, soft drinks and water available.   YOUR PATRONAGE HELPS TO ASSURE THAT OUR LOCATION WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE TO US IN THE FUTURE!

 

MAP     Travel north from Orlando on I-4 East to Exit #92 (SR 436).  Exit toward the west turning left to pass over I-4.  Get into the far right lane as soon as possible and turn right at Douglas Avenue which is the first right (at the Shell Station). 

     

Look for the Waffle House sign approximately 1/4 mile on the left.  Turn left immediately past the Waffle House sign and go up the driveway to the AMF Lanes.  The driveway is marked by the red, black & white Bowling Pin on the AMF sign.  Park on the left side of the building for easiest access. 

 

Enter via the side entrance to the building.  Our DANCE LOCATION will be THE PARTY ROOM on the right as you enter the side entrance.
