Decorating Your Tables!

During the Maggie G! weekend you will be part of a "table family"! You will be seated at a table with the same folks for the entire weekend and will join them in games and competition against other tables during the weekend.

One of the special parts of the weekend festivities will happen on Saturday night!  We hope that you and your table family will join in!  We will already have decorations on the tables for the weekend.  But before dinner on Saturday night we will be removing most of the standard decorations to enable you to express your own art and creativity in a competition against all the other "table families".

There have been numerous questions about what this means and how it works.  I have uploaded my photos from Leeds last year so that you could look at some of the amazing ideas that were on display for a similar contest which has always been one of the greatest parts of that event in the UK.

Hope this helps with some of the ideas.  By the way, the Brits have informed me they are planning some surprises so it sounds like a challenge to me...

The theme for Saturday night is "Green To Be Seen!"  Of course, we are celebrating St. Patrick's Day but if you have a different "GREEN" idea, go for it!

This means we challenge you to confer with your table family, come up with an idea that relates to the theme and express it with your table decorations.  This could include costumes, hats, banners, potted plants, spaceships or anything you can make, build or buy.  Bring it with you or buy it when you arrive.  It's a free-for-all! and you can do as much or as little as you like!  The table which is judged to be the most creative will win a prize and the bragging rights over all others!

We encourage you to contact the others in your table family, agree on an idea or theme and get your assignment now!  Good luck!!
